I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Artist's Description
Red poppies and oak trees adorn hills covered in golden grasses (wild rye). White, fluffy clouds roll across the blue sky. In the distance, brown horses graze in a field. And even further afield, a Mediterranean villa and stately Cypress trees. This California landscape (a composite of Arastradero Open Space Preserve in Palo Alto and a field of red poppies in nearby Mountain View), with a touch of Tuscany, is an original acrylic painting on a gallery-wrapped stretched canvas (the 3/4" staple-free sides are finished off in brown acrylic)--no need to frame. It has been lightly varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors. If you would like the canvas fitted with picture wire, let me know at the time of purchase (no additional charge). The piece can be hung as is on one or two parallel nails but some people prefer hanging wire if the piece is going to be hung unframed.
About Laura Iverson
I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
