The full moon illuminates monarch butterflies and blossoming tree branches, covered in cherry blossoms. The tree branches have arc'd to form a peace sign in the teal blue night sky. Some of the petals are dancing in the air. This visionary landscape is part of the Dreamscapes series, which combines my original paintings with digital enhancements. The grunge texture and imperfections give the piece a timeless feel.

I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
