Internal And External Seo Plus Ai Descriptions

I remain concerned about this. Internally, I don't come up unless the work is at least a week old but it will always be found at the very bottom of the pile. A work that was uploaded three days ago has yet to come up at all, even though there is only 29 entries under the Weegee name and it is supposed to be "live" after 15 minutes. I have 1600+ works in my portfolio and continue to upload at least three works every single day which are almost instantly shared on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Yes, my traffic has increased considerably as a result according to the metrics but that's all. Externally, if I search for the full title of my item FAA will never come up. That wasn't the case in the past. What has changed and how can SEO be improved?
AI: I noticed both the description and keyword fields are now (most times at least) automatically populated by AI analyzing the image. This is a very welcoming new feature but it is the SEO that needs attention being the most important factor in generating sales.
Anyone experiencing same?

External search results are hard to predict. I just did a search by title on Google on some of my older images and they popped right up at the top, including FAA as well as my own domain name via Pixels. Getting to the top of the pile takes time work and determination as well as some savvy. Actual intelligence beats AI.

Being live and being in the search here are not the same. Try doing a search on your own portfolio. That will prove the image is in the search. It may take longer to get in the site wide search. There are hundreds of thousands of works that have to be sorted.

I don't use the AI, I don't like the format it makes, its very by the book dry. And I always prefill things in, usually making a paragraph or two. Google wants content, it answers a question for history or whatever. But its always changing its mind. And for all we know is now ignoring everything and deciding on its own where the images sit.

So like - maybe its going over the work and deciding that a picture of a dog goes with animals and not art. But you have little control over SEO, I think one page a long while back counted like 600 things google wanted. But now? Internally - there is a ton more stock. The AI is sifted to the back so I don't think that is a huge issue other than bandwidth used on the site. But I never look for my stuff unless I accidentally come up. I think its also more important to find yourself via an image search.

Thank you Bradford and Mike. Further searches indicate that uploads several weeks old do pop up on Google but only in the "images" section, not under "all results". Some that are months old don't appear at all, though.
As regards AI descriptions, I do find this new feature very useful indeed, in addition to my own staff. I'm usually very brief so that helps a lot.
Some advocate that ALT text has to be used in all images including Instagram, in order to improve indexing. To change the whole portfolio would be very cumbersome, however. Do you use ALT?

Alt, and/or title, are used in forums, website pages, etc

You don't need them in social media as you use hashtags

Abbie,

Were our prior manually entered keywords and descriptions in the metadata? Or is adding metadata new?

It would help us older hands to know that.

I just searched a random title of mine and I showed up on page 1 in google, that was an interesting test and a good result

Nina, was that in the Images or All tab? How old was your entry?
