I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Artist's Description

Frances Flora Bond Palmer was an English-born artist who became one of the most successful and influential illustrators of the mid-19th century in America. She was born in Leicester in 1812 and began her career as a lithographer in London, where she gained a reputation for her detailed and imaginative designs.

In 1848, Palmer and her husband immigrated to the United States, settling in New York City. There, she continued to work as a lithographer and illustrator, creating designs for a wide range of publications, including books, magazines, and advertising materials.

Palmer is best known for her depictions of American landscapes and scenes of everyday life, which were characterized by a remarkable attention to detail and a sense of warmth and humanity. She was also a pioneer in the use of color lithography, which allowed her to create vivid and lifelike images that captured the imagination of her audience.
