This is an oil painting on gallery wrap canvas from my Florals series. The subject is a still life featuring several native Australian flowers. The two large, central flowers are white waratahs (the red waratah is the state floral emblem of New South Wales). The daisy-like flowers are Flannel Flowers, so named because of their velvety texture. The hot pink blossoms are boronia, which are highly scented. The fluffy yellow blossoms are wattle.
