I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Textural impasto palette knife oil painting on stretched canvas 65x90cm (26”x36”), 2018. This was a custom commission painting for a collector from Hong Kong.
This painting is part of my Venice series and it is a new rendition of my painting "Venice Carnaval" made in 2012.

The Carnival of Venice (Italian: Carnevale di Venezia) is an annual festival, held in Venice, Italy. The Carnival ends with Lent, forty days before Easter on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday.
Masks have always been a main feature of the Venetian carnival. Traditionally people were allowed to wear them between the festival of Santo Stefano (St. Stephen's Day, December 26) and the start of the carnival season and midnight of Shrove Tuesday. Mona Edulesco is a Romanian painter and architect who resides in France and specializes in textured impasto palette knife oil paintings. Her preference for abstract cityscapes reflects her background in architecture and urban planning.
