I saw first saw this canvas print on Pinterest and it took my breath away. Considered it for several weeks before finally making the purchase because frankly I"ve been disappointed too many times with online purchases. NOT this time! I have seldom been so happy with a small work of art. It is exquisitely beautiful and just perfect in the little nook by my china cabinet It still takes my breath away and now I want a houseful of Dave Mills photographs!

No photo since packed for my move to Assisted Living on Tuesday. Wanted to celebrate fine memories of a life and always wanted to honor the great Alfred E. Neuman who enthralled me in my childhood. My brother had one of the original ".For President"" posters and I have a photo of him in B&W proudly standing with that poster. Since he died at age 13, that photo is special. My new place is your usual small----old people MUST downsize everything away to get a damn meal, can't have too much---I can't take much to hang on walls. Since I had always wanted to honor our dear old Alfred E., from time to time, I search, and found this small but unique and unusual creation for a unique and unusual old former hippie who could tell some grand stories, but of course NO ONE wants to talk to us. Might have to look away from the smart phone to do so and soon such careless look-aways will be against the law. So I shall talk to myself, my cat Daniel and the portrait of dear Alfred who is in the psychedelic colors of my vanished youth when American was still fun and people still knew how to laugh at themselves, also soon to be against the law since everyone will be perfect with nothing to laugh at except everybody else who is NOT them who must be disparaged with mocking laughter. At least I will have Alfred to help me remember when we all thought we were together....our motto was Peace and Love. What is today's motto? Do we have one? No one tells us these things. Thanks for the beautiful creative rendering of a very fond memory.

By Debra Argen-Nesta dargennesta@earthlink.net 203-358-9701 Artist Guido Borelli da Caluso was born in 1952, in Caluso, Italy at the foothills of the Italian Alps. Born into an artistic family, (his grandfather was a woodcarver and furniture maker, and his paternal uncle and aunt paint) young Guido first discovered painting somewhere between the ages of 4 to 6 years old. With the encouragement of his family, Guido's first art challenge came at age 13 in the form of a public award. Although he did not win this art award, he continued to make artistic strides, and had his first personal art exhibit at the young age of 17. He received his art training at Accademia Albertina, in Turin, which was founded in 1672, at the special request...
