Painted live at Crossroads Community Church, Vancouver, WA - April 27, 2016

I saw a picture of a mighty oak tree. It was glorious and strong. I then saw the root structure of the mighty oak. Underground, the roots formed the shape of a heart. Ephesians 3:17-19 talks about Christ dwelling in our hearts through faith - that we would be rooted and grounded in love. That we would be able to comprehend with all the saints how wide, how long, how high, and how deep is the love of Jesus. To know the love of Christ which goes beyond knowledge, that you may be filled up in all the fullness of God.

The golden hue and clouds in the painting speak of the majesty and beauty of God�s presence. It is in Him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28.

Nathan Rhoads is an versatile artist working in Portland, Oregon. He earned his BFA in 1998 from Point Loma Nazarene University. His primary medium of choice is oil. Nathan's work ranges from abstract to representational. He takes on a lot of commissioned projects, both abstract and representational. The spirit realm is his muse. Most of his work deals with the spirit realm whether it be representational or abstract in nature. Nathan works as a graphic designer. When not painting, he spends time with his 2 boys and dog exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
