Displayed are two figures from a United States patent belonging to Robert Fletcher, dated November 17, 1981. The designs resemble iconic emblems associated with the command and engineering divisions from a popular science fiction television series. The top design, labeled "Fig. 2," features an angular structure within an elliptical orbit, while the bottom design, "Fig. 6.," shows a circular insignia with a central star and adjoining orbits.
