I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Artist's Description
Juxtaposition by Maggie Terlecki
This image shows a feather that is very soft against some sleek and shiny hard rocks. I like the mix of dark to light, from white to black and from real to reflection. It is almost like the day it was taken, cold and frosty outside but warm and comfy indoors! I hope you enjoy it!
This is a limited edition print. Once 10 prints have been sold, I will pull it. Next print to be sold will be 1/10. #1741001. This does not pertain to images sold on products or as greeting cards. Image must be 16" or more on the longest side (before framing). If you purchase an image from me and would like a signed certificate of authenticity as long as the above conditions are followed, simply contact me through the site, or the contact form on maggieterlecki.com and I will be happy to mail you one!

About Maggie Terlecki
I'm a photographer from a small town in Quebec, Canada and I do mostly Still Life compositions and Urban Vignettes. I take pictures of things I feel a connection to, a way of sharing my feelings, my world, and my place in it. My approach to photography is essentially the same as how an author uses words to write a story. Hopefully, youll find my voice and vision within my work. I also do digital painting - mostly fantastical creatures like fairies.

Lovely image Maggie! So, this is what people in cold climates do when it's too cold to go outside. Here it's been to hot to go outside and I've been doing ceramics.
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Too hot? oh my! I'm frozen!! :-D I'm glad you like it and I think the cold is one of the reasons I started doing still life images! :-) MAggie

It is a juxtaposition between the real and the unreal, but it is a counter juxtaposition between the hard and soft....very clever Maggie ! Juxtaposition is a repetition of forms and it is a word of ambivalence. I always try to avoid it in speech...haha...since people and especially experts do not like to be confronted with words they do not know....lol....in all this image is just Superb in it's meaningfulness !!! Love it !!! :) wishing you a lovely weekend. Here it's the first day of a tiny layer of snow this winter !!
Nikolyn McDonald
Lovely.
