I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

I found this critter asleep on a flower in the early morning. We had heavy rains the night before and I think the effort it took to cling to the flower, plumb wore it out. I took the opportunity to photograph it.
I sat and watched the Dianthidum bee for over an hour and it finally stirred to life. Mid-morning sun providing the warmth it need to recoup from the battering it took the night before. It made it's way around the flowers drawing much needed nectar to complete it's replenishment. I
