I met this lovely young woman at the Taos Powwow and was excited to paint the lantern lighting up her face.

Elizabeth Jose is a British artist living in Taos, New Mexico. Already an accomplished portrait artist, she was inspired by the breathtaking scenery of Taos to begin painting landscapes after moving here in 2005. Jose and her partner have restored a vintage 1966 Airstream trailer together and love taking trips to beautiful places as inspiration for paintings.
