I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Artist's Description
Appalachian Trail Landscape Photography in Western North Carolina - Into the Wild
Fog rolls through the trees along the Appalachian Trail in the Roan Mountain Highlands of western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. Located along the border of NC and TN, the appalachian trail crosses through some of the most beautiful landscape scenery in the eastern US. Easily one of my favorite locations, the Roan Mountain area with its wild gardens of flame azalea and catawba rhododendron is a magnet for landscape photographers from all over the east coast, offering stunning scenic views, rugged wilderness, wild flowers, fog laden forests and so much more. I shot this while leading my "Spring in the Highlands" workshop a few weeks ago on a VERY windy morning with periods of heavy fog.
Single exposure with a Nikon D800 w/ 17-35mm f/2.8
Faves and Cooents are much appreciated! Thanks y'all! :)
