This painting was made following an invitation to an Alice in Wonderland themed expo, but I'm half year late...I love this subject, and I found the sketchers promising, so I made this painting after all.
Is inspired by the book, the original drawings, as well as some movies made after it, this short hallucinating story had a huge influence over our culture, making Lewis Caroll most quoted author after Shakespeare.

I tried to give it a more surreal look of her journey of self discovery trough the labyrinth of subconscious and personages in her dream, archetypal forms, some expressing caricatural of real characters and different mind disorders, but ultimately an expression of her mind.

I wonder if I've been changed in the night. Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!
