Afternoon Thunder.

The distant sound of thunder broke safely in the distance. Nevertheless, the anvil cloud demanded attention, starkly carved like stone against the deep blue sky. I journeyed ever westward away from the commands of a civilization enjoying the solitude, the parched high desert. The coming rains.
