Question - Why can’t we simply go Monday to Tuesday for Day 1, and Tuesday to Wednesday for Day 2, etc.?
Answer - Because we have participants who are scattered all over the world! My Monday here in Texas starts at a different time than James’ Monday in Brazil. For this reason, I start the Challenge at a certain time and we all get busy on Day 1 at the same time. We all are getting the same 24 hours to create each day’s image, and all our Day 1s will be posted to the image thread before any Day 2 images are posted.

Her Arts Desire....that quick descent into delusion happened with my father when he was hospitalize....the Dr. said it was because when elderly people go somewhere other then their known home they start to show psychoses....so hard to see ((HUGS)) and prayers for you both.

I knew this was gonna be a difficult week. I apologize to all those that I usually recognize their work. I'm off to the Dr. again this morning - I'll be back, I hope, this afternoon. rd

Day 3:
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/rays-of-sunshine-lucia-waterson.html?newartwork=true
The reflections of the sun in the ocean are so beautiful and create a magical atmosphere! Did you ever wonder how many minutes the sunlight takes to reach our Earth? About 8 minutes and few seconds. Instead, the light from the next closest star takes more than 4 years!

Very much so, Donna!
Much empathy in my heart, Roy, and Patricia — there is comfort in camaraderie.
Popping by to post a description of my Day 4 contribution.
Sweet Tea Memories is my tribute to the premise of love, and loss.
If you look carefully at this image, and follow her gaze, you’ll see who she is thinking of.

Not a castle in the air
Watercolor painting of the Estense Castle in Ferrara, Italy.
It's one of the few castles in Italy and in Europe that are still moated.

For those that like the gory details: My trip to the hospital was an ordeal: I don't know what they teach nurses about starting an IV, but I have 4 bruises/hematomas in my right arm and hand, she finally got it in my left hand - and no bruising. BTW - my veins stick up on my arms like worms - or snakes - take your pick. It's not like they had to search for them. When will my Dr. get back with the results - your guess is as good as mine. One thing for sure - I will not have those folks stab me in the arm again. As you might guess - I was put to sleep - and I don't remember leaving, the ride home in the car, or how I got into the house - I "woke up" - I was fixing lunch for myself.

Oh gosh, Roy, sounds like an ordeal, but glad you got home safely, hope your arm/veins are better today!

Roy, Hoping you are home & heal...
Carmen, Thx for the Sweet Tea Memories, thoughtful...
OMG D5 already flying by... where does the time go?
Have a creative spring weekend everyone! GJ

OMG, Roy, I wish you strength, courage and try to think that everything will be OK.
Myself, I'm learning more and more that confidence and faith help a lot, although I'm not really a religious person.
I've been living however with one (the owner of the house I'm renting a room from), a 84 year woman, very religious, who's always getting what she needs from the higher spirit.
I can see that everything goes smoothly for her and all the problems (of any kind) get resolved without (too much) struggle.
She keeps telling me that all these happen because she has faith.
I don't want to get into religion, but more and more I see that having faith is a very powerful thing... Just relax and think that finally, it will be OK for you.

That's a wrap for me! What a fun theme, I could go on for another week ; D Everyone came up with such fun imagery, it was a joy to see everyone's contributions.
I like to think about worrying as wishing for what I don't want. My mom has a gratitude practice that when I think of it I try. She uses Gratitude in advance. She thanks the universe for a good result Before the thing occurs. It's worked for everything from getting a good parking spot to getting the best result a medical test. She even tried it after the police stopped her for speeding and ended up getting the most minor of fines and a friendly exchange with the officer. It's obviously not a cure all but it helps bring one's point of view into a more positive frame of mind. It doesn't rely on a specific faith as everyone can find something to be thankful for. Even if it's just the cat deciding to hack up on the tile instead of the carpeting...

Roy, I pray for a quick recovery and so sorry for such an ordeal you had to go through.
Donna, thank you very much for your hard work here, and for hosting this one as well. Blessings to you.
And to all the participants, well done, you have all produced some amazing images that were a joy to view!!

Thanks Donna for all you do!
Thanks to all the artists who participated in this challenge for sharing your art and creativity! I hope to go through and look in more detail. I need to make a note to look through the other ones too - when I'm participating I feel a little too rushed to take my time and look closely at the art.
Roy, sending you wishes of good news. I don't want to intrude, but you may want to ask your doctor/healthcare provider if it would be better to use a "butterfly needle" which can make blown veins less likely under some circumstances (if that was the problem).

When candles are beautiful like these roses in transparent glass, you don't even need to light them to create a romantic atmosphere.
