Artist's Description
The symbolism of the lighthouse is extraordinary. It's an icon of hope and salvation. This painting was inspired by the Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. Our family has visited it quite often and it's amazing every time.

About Danny Phillips
Danny Phillip's art focuses on authenticity, age, and the historical relevance of objects in places. Specifically, he loves textures and layers. Using primarily recycled materials: magazines, paper and paints; all of his pieces are handmade in his Austin studio. As a self-taught artist, Danny has been focusing on mixed media and collage art and his work has been featured in galleries in Texas, along the East Coast and Australia. Danny is also co-owner of In Your Space Collaborative Arts, where he functions as art director leading crews to do wall effects, murals and cabinetry finishes.
