The Republican is an adaptation of a similar painting I had done earler. As usual, it is my intention to create images that arouse the curiosity of the viewer. The brush and pallet knife work is very spontaneous without much time to ponder, it�s just a feel. However, the ability to apply painting fundamentals at the �ready command� has taken years.

BIOGRAPHY: John’s creative drive evolved while growing up among artistic family members in Venice, Florida. John has sketched and painted throughout his life and after a successful career in the corporate world; he departed in 1996 to focus on his art.
