This is an original painting of a fisherman fixing his nets. I was interested in capturing the rich textures of the scene, so I used a combination of fabric, texture paste and impasto painting.

Steve is an artist from Cornwall, England. His paintings range from fresh and minimalist to creations of complex layers and textures. His use of soft, delicate colours and hazy light give his paintings an airy, ethereal quality.
