Only at certain times of the day when the sun is positioned at a certain angle will you see this amazing, awe-inspiring explosion of color. One of the downfalls of being a photographer in a situation like this is that you don't always get a lot of time to experience the moment. Often there is a lot that goes in to capturing this type of image and although my physical body was present my mind was tied up in the technical aspects, people walking in front, protecting my equipment from sand damage and my guide giving everyone the 'hurry up'.

Nevertheless, I am eternally grateful for the chance to be there and would rate this experience up there with some of the best I've ever had, with or without a camera.
