Opera poster of Carmen by Georges Bizet, black version - from the minimalist opera poster series by illustrator and writer Moira Risen - a perfect gift for opera fans.

'My feelings for Bizet’s Carmen have always been pretty controversial.
I've always found the story of the gypsy Carmen destroying everyone’s lives around her rather irritating as I could never understand how any man can fall for a woman like her - unfortunately that leaves me with zero sympathy for any of the characters…
But the music is brilliant, captivating and definitely deserving the popularity: it’s one of the most performed operas in the classical canon; ‘Habanera’ and the ‘Toreador Song’ are both among the best known operatic arias.

The sheet music at the bottom of the poster is from Habanera, the famous entrance aria of Carmen.
