This is the view from the point called North Window, a view of Monument Valley framed on both side by buttes. You will also find a sign saying "Artist's Point" close by, but if I need a sign to tell me where the best spot to paint from is, then I might just quit painting!

Donald Maier graduated from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts, in Newark, New Jersey in 1968. He won several state and local show awards in the early seventies, including 1st place in oils at the Garden State Art Center in 1971, 1st place for Watercolor at the Red Bank Festival of Arts in 1972 and an Honorable Mention in the Emerging Artists exhibit at Rutgers University in 1973.
