About Anne Gifford
Anne Gifford is an award winning artist and the eight time poster artist for Colorado's Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day Race, one of the largest road races in the United States. She began her career as a silkscreen artist. After 25 years of printmaking, Anne now works with watercolor, building successive layers of color to create her vibrant, rich, and detailed paintings. She has lived in Colorado since 1976 and finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Her paintings, like a pictorial journal, have chronicled her journey thus far. I thank you, dear Anne, for evoking some of the sweetest memories of my life. Anything of Boulder (e.g. Flat Irons) reminds me of the Bolder Boulder 10 K I ran in my younger years. If I may brag a little bit, that was my fastest 10 K race ever of all the many races I ran. I finished this 10 K in 35 minutes, 22 seconds. That's a little less than 6 minutes a mile. I bet you did a superb job painting the Bolder Boulder poster, the one you mentioned in your lovely bio.
