I enjoy visiting gardens, often contemplating the meticulous planning and effort required to create them, not to mention the patience needed for years of growth to reach maturity. This painting allowed me to envision a garden in full bloom, adorned with the beauty of years of care. I intentionally omitted a bridge over the stream, imagining the experience of removing shoes to step through the cool, clear waters to the other side. This scene is named with a biblical scripture in mind that defines love in the virtues of patience, kindness, unselfishness and the absence of envy or boastfulness.
