My husband loved it. I bought it for his birthday. This was the first time I ever choose a metal frame. It's okay, but I prefer wood.

The print quality is good and it arrived well packaged. The shipping time was average and there was no notice of shipping or tracking number as promised. Pixels should update their description however. The backing isn't a 3/4" wooden frame with wire hanging, instead the 1/16" thick metal print is attached to a 3/4" lipped plastic frame that hangs directly on two screws. The total offset from the wall is approximately 7/8". While in my mind better than a wood and wire arrangement, nevertheless it's not what was advertised!

What a wonderful gift for my brother, a life long Lions fan! He loves this metal newspaper cover and it was hung as soon as it was taken out of the box. Great addition to his Lions memorabilia!
Artist's Description
Jupiter and the Milky Way visible over Mount Shuksan in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington.
This was taken at Picture Lake in the National Forest, although there is no lake visible at this time of year. That fact came as a slight surprise to me, but not as much as the 8-9 foot tall sheer cliff of ploughed snow that I needed to climb in order to get from the road to where it used to be. If you look closely, you can see the path I waded through the snow to get to this point.
The conditions weren't as good as I had hoped, with a reasonable amount of moisture in the air reducing the clarity of the Milky Way and emphasising the glow of the city lights (even in a true dark sky location like Mount Baker, there is still a glow around much of the horizon). However, it's not bad!
Most of the landscape is lit solely by the light of the stars, but there is some light hitting the snow below the trees on the left which is from the Mount Baker Ski Area, clos...
About Alexis Birkill

Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
