Beautiful… exactly what I was looking for. Only thing is on the side of the gold frame some of the gold is missing and there was a fingerprint in the gold!
About Scott Kirby
Visions of the Great Plains consists of drawings and watercolor paintings inspired by the American Great Plains, by Scott Kirby. Referred to as an accidental artist by Sandpoint Magazine, Kirby began painting in 2005, after 9 months of drawing with dual-tip brush pens. Although the attempts to capture these mostly imagined visions are quite intentional, the origins of Kirby's transition from music to art was, in a way, accidental, and unexpected. While drawing with his daughter Sara one afternoon, Kirby was suddenly compelled to continue into the night and following days, being bombarded by mental images which demanded expression. This is truly an inspirational painting. The graveyard contains more rows than what is seen in this painting, however. Also, an Ohio Historical Marker is on the corner of the property. The former Friends (Quaker) Church looks exactly like this painting. My 3rd great grandfather was buried at this Friends (Quaker) cemetery. He was North Lewisburg's first appointed marshal in 1844. I am so pleased that this former church was saved and is now a historic point of interest for North Lewisburg as a branch of the Champaign County Public Library. Thank you for capturing the quiet simplicity of this structure that has been so well preserved.
