This painting represents a Buffalo Soldier of 9th Cav, B Troop and some of the gear that was use in his daily operations. His duties included Fort building, protecting railroad workers, protecting settlers, policing and charting new territories for settlement .

Harvie Brown is a native of Florida and a graduate of Georgia State University. He has always had an interest in drawing and painting from since a very early age. He is a self-taught artist, works primarily in oils and would classify his work as representational.
