After sunset on August 21, this blue hour snapshot captured the nearly full Moon as it rose opposite the Sun, above the rugged Italian Alps from Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. Sharing bluish hues with the sky, the rocky pyramid of Monte Antelao, also known as the King of the Dolomites, is the region's prominent alpine peak. The moonlight is yellow, but even so this full Moon was known to some as a seasonal Blue Moon

I'm an Italian woman and I take my picture in the famous Dolomites. My innate passion for astronomy and nature, takes me in 2009 to become a naturalist photographer since then I started photographing the sky along with the beautiful landscapes that surround it, finally realizing what's my true passion. In 2014 I attended the fifth international competition TWAN and I win the first prize in the category "Against the lights". In 2015 I've made entirely the astronomical calendar for the Italian magazine "Nuovo Orione" In 2016 and 2017 ttwo of my works are included in the book of the Royal Greenwich Observatory. In 2017 and 2023 six of my work become Astronomical Picture of the day APOD
