When we say that we’re banking on something or someone, we mean that we’re depending on them to come through for us, in a matter that is important to us.

Perhaps this derives from our concept of financial institutions, which – in a corporate culture infused with the worship of money and making lots of it – are supposed to be dependable. I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art.
