This ginger jar belonged to my Aunt Annie, for whom I was named. I created this piece for my cousin, whose mother was also named for Aunt Annie.

Born and reared in Lancaster, Ohio, Anne Hart Kiphen began college as a Music Major and Art Minor. After bouncing back and forth between the two areas of study, she finally finished with a degree in Art and a minor in Vocal Music. Her music career led her to spend the next 5 years in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. She returned to Lancaster and began teaching Art in the Bloom-Carroll School District, a position she held for 30 years. Retirement brought the need to contribute to the community and thus began her volunteer involvement with the Ohio Glass Museum.
