The size I chose was too big for the quality of the image. The resolution is not great. They should not offer it at that size. The print was poorly packaged, in a triangular sort of tube. The paper was bent and the edges damaged. Didn’t feel like returning it, but I wouldn’t buy again.

Alfred Stevens (1823–1906) was a Belgian painter celebrated for his refined and elegant depictions of women in luxurious, domestic settings. A key figure in 19th-century Academic art, Stevens gained popularity in Paris, where he blended realism with a keen attention to fashion and interior design. His works often portrayed upper-class women, capturing both their beauty and the social constraints of the era. Stevens' use of light, color, and meticulous detail brought a sense of intimacy and sophistication to his paintings. Though his fame waned in the 20th century, his contributions to Belgian and French art remain highly regarded.
