This is a beautiful painting! The artist knows my husband and we were so excited to bring one of her pieces of art into our home! It's beyond what we expected! It is part of the background when I do virtual meetings (which I am in all day long) and I get so many compliments on how beautiful my "virtual backdrop is". When I tell people that it's my actual office, they always comment on the art!

The Lion And Lamb painting is absolutely beautiful and very anointed. It speaks such peace to me. We have been furnishing a missionary apartment and as soon as I saw this picture I knew it was the one! I know it will minister to each missionary that stays in our apartment just like it ministers to me.

She is very like my sweet Emma and I bought it in memory of her. Emma's room is now my office but the painting makes clear that it is still, first and foremost, kitty space. This piece comforts my heart every day. Emma has been gone for a year and I miss her incredibly.
Artist's Description
On June 30 1953, the first Corvette drove off the GM assembly line, a mere six months after its debut as a concept car at the GM Motorama. Head of Design, Harley Earl, convinced GM that they needed to build a two-seat sports car. GIs returning home following WWII were bringing with them their beloved European sports cars leaving little doubt there was enough demand to warrant an American model.
By 1960 Corvette styling had seen substantial upgrades, but the '61 Vette would begin some transitions that would carry through to the C2 model. Foremost among them were the changes made to the rear section. The rear deck was flatter with a βduck-tailβ design. The exhaust now exited below the body rather than through the bumper as in previous designs. The addition of four round taillights began a tradition that continued for more than fifty years. Gone was the toothy grille in favor of a mesh design. This was also the last year for contrasting paint colors in the cove area.
About Douglas Pittman
Hi I'm Doug, Welcome to my online gallery. I'm a Dallas Ft Worth based photographer specializing in the creation of automotive artwork. My love for photography came at an early age with the gift of a camera for Christmas. Over the years I've shot a variety of subjects eventually finding my calling capturing the style and beauty of automobiles. My catalog runs the gamut from early American vintage to exotic super-cars with muscle-cars and imports included in the mix. Most recently I have begun adding some aviation pieces to my portfolio. The style that I developed working with cars seems to translate well with this subject matter too. Look for more of these among my works as time and opportunity allow. If you'd like help finding a...
